Abstract

The article discusses certain ironies and paradoxes to consider to achieve the goal of making death and dying easier for all concerned. Topics mentioned include the challenge of caring for dying patients, the role of community nurses to support the bereaved who oscillate between their grief and pursuing daily life interests, and the importance of allowing the bereaved to find their own order.
