Abstract

The article discusses the use of the PEAS technique by healthcare professionals to communicate in palliative care. The use of such technique can help in developing a professional relationship with the patient and their close family members. The technique can foster trust in patients when used effectively to enable them to discuss their fears and concerns more openly. It is said that non-verbal cues should be looked out for because thoughts and feelings can be difficult to put into words.
