Abstract

The article discusses some important issues that community nurses should consider when it comes to fatigue in palliative care. Family units may not realise the effect of fatigue on the patient that should be addressed by community nurses. They have the duty to emphasise to relatives that a patient's quality of life may be maximised. Fatigue is characterised by chronic tiredness, which is why rest is very important..
