Abstract

The editor comments on the exclusion of men as potential research participants in qualitative palliative care research. He cites the tendency of men to encounter barriers in establishing a trusting relationship with researchers due to differences in cultural backgrounds, gender and age differences. Emphasis is given on the need for researchers to be well trained and skilled in conducting qualitative studies as well as interviews.
