Abstract

The article presents the author’s views on how health care professionals and palliative care workers can best address questions from patients and family members of patients regarding predictions or timelines of death and dying. The author argues that health care professionals need not be completely accurate with predictions but that they must make patients comfortable psychologically and physically.
