Abstract

A father's experiences of his welcome and inclusion in maternity ward was compared over two occasions which spanned a 30 year period. Conclusions were that he felt as excluded from involvement as he had done 30 years previously. The recommendation was that maternity wards become more inclusive and welcoming of fathers.
