Additional Information:	The International Communal Studies Association (ICSA) is a professional body that studies and disseminates information about intentional communities worldwide. Their most recent conference was held at the community and conference centre of Tamera in Portugal. While I was there to deliver a conference paper I took photographs of the community, including the attached picture 'Hats, Coats and Shoes'. After the conference, ICSA staff requested conference participants send in pictures to accompany the web site information about the conference. At this time, Yaacov Oved and Jan Martin Bang were finalising their book on the history of ICSA (see reference below). The book designer saw the pictures sent in about the Tamera community and decided that 'Hats, Coats and Shoes' would make a good book cover. Oved, Y. & Bang J. M. (in press)(eds).
