Whatever the purpose of compiling a portfolio, whether it is as part of an academic assessment, evidence to present at interview, or as part of a continuing professional development profile, it is imperative that it is organised effectively. The amount of evidence produced, the format, and the indexing may differ depending on its use but it must be logical and easy to navigate.
This chapter discusses ways in which a portfolio may be organised, including examples of index system, cross referencing, and format styles that could be used. It also considers curriculum vitae as a useful component within a portfolio.
